Obituary:
Christopher Michael Restaino (Roach)
Loving son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin and friend of many
Christopher Michael Restaino, beloved son, passed away March 19, 2005 in
Albuquerque, NM. He is survived by his parents Sergio and Michelle Restaino, and
Greg and Lisa Lopez; brothers and sister Alex Restaino, Michael Lopez and
Christina Lopez; grandparents Elwin and Margit Roach, Domenico Restaino, and
George and Vickie Lopez; great-grandparents Valon and Lola Roach, and numerous
aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is preceeded in death by his grandmother Letizia
Restaino. Christopher began his short journey with us on August 16, 1985 in
Alamogordo, NM. He grew up in Albuquerque and attended John Baker Elementary,
Hoover Middle School and Eldorado High School where he graduated in 2003.
Christopher was active in the Boy Scouts of America, with Troop 166, where he
proudly earned his Eagle Scout rank in 2003. He was also an avid soccer player
and was a member of many teams. His deep love of nature was evident in the joy
he felt when hiking in the mountains or snorkeling in the ocean. Christopher was
such a kind and loving soul and touched so many people. He will be deeply
missed. True to his Boy Scouting values he chose to be an organ donor and he
continues in giving even after his passing. A viewing will be held for
Christopher on Tuesday March, 22 from 5:00-8:00 pm at French Mortuary 10500
Lomas Blvd, and a Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday March, 23 at 1:00
pm at Christ Unity Church 9800 Candelaria Rd NE. In lieu of flowers the family
asks that contributions be made to the Christopher Restaino Memorial Fund
benefiting various teenage and ecological causes (Please make checks payable to
