THE VOICE OF MANY COLORS

#159.03

The voice of Christ Jesus, the Son of God, is like the voice, or shining of the Sun, and each are variegated. Both, the Sun and the Son's voice, have facets. They are diversified. The voice of Christ, like the Sun's, is one voice; but in it is a spectrum of many colors.

According to the Oxford University Press Dictionary, spectrum is: "1 a band of colors produced by separation of the components of light by their different degrees of refraction, e.g. in a rainbow. 2 the entire range of wavelengths of electromagnetic radiation. 3 a characteristic series of frequencies of electromagnetic radiation emitted or absorbed by a substance. 4 the components of a sound or other phenomenon arranged according to frequency, energy, etc...."

We see that not only light has a spectrum, but sound as well. Moreover, anything which brings understanding is light, especially if it has to do with Christ. Jesus is Light; for not only do we know this by experience; but He declared the same: 12Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life. John 8:12. He is also the Word, as we are told in John 1:1 and 1 John 1:1. He is the Word and He is the Light; therefore that which comes from Him - His Word - is Light. The sound of His words - His Voice - is a streaming beam of Light Words. Any portion of Him, the glance of His eye, His smile, His piercing gaze, His breath, His presence, His words, His voice - is Light. For there is nothing of Him which is not light. It is no marvel, then, when His words are spoken in due season and received by the spirit of revelation, they enlighten the hearer and make the heart glad.

The anointed voice streaming from the heavens is like vibrant photons. These light-sound waves open our eyes and give us quick understanding where there was none before. When revelation comes, we see because of the light of Christ contained in the voice. We hear the voice by the Spirit as it pierces it way into deep regions of God's mysteries. His brilliant voice awakens us to His Day. Truly, the Voice of Christ is Light, and that supreme voice has a spectrum, a spectrum which contains unfolding characteristics of who He is.

Although common, there is something about a voice that is truly amazing. For instance, it can cause one's spirit to sore beyond unfathomable heights, or at the change of a tone it can bring it crashing to the lowest hell. A voice can soothe and heal, or it can wound and kill. It can kindle love; but it can also drive one to hate. A voice, whether a whisper or a shout, can be instrumental in accomplishing towering feats, and it can also be the force that destroys them. Voices come in countless forms -- in the glance of an eye, the hiss of a serpent, the rustle of leaves, the sound of wind, and the blast of a trumpet, but especially in the words of man.

The Spirit moved and worlds were framed by the Word of God. (1)Mountains and hills trembled and moved at the roar of His voice and the thundering of His word. Mountains of hindrances can also be moved when one hears an inspiring word, believes what is heard, and then applies action to the message that the voice declares. Anything from small to large, insignificant to great can be realized by almost anyone when they are stirred by the word of a good voice. On the other hand, there are voices which harbor demoralizing spirits and can work the opposite. They have the ability to disrupt and crumble people's worlds. When such sounds are heard and the people surrender to them, devastation can be their fruit.

Voices can be energized with either life or death as they transmit the very thought, intent, character, and nature of the one generating the voice. When a man or woman is motivated by the spirit of love, joy, and peace, their voice will be that of love, joy, and peace. If a man is a liar, even when he is relating a fact, the spirit of that man is in his voice, and it radiates a lie. Simply put, there is more to one's voice than words alone. Voices are constructed of words which are the vehicles wherein spirits travel, whether good or evil.

Words are extremely important; for they bring us to knowledge and understanding; but regardless of the words, we should be aware that the true essence of life or death, is in the power of the tongue. Life or death is the substance of words, and it is carried by voices. The quickening power of life or the slaying of death abide in the voice of words.

The Voice of all voices, of course, is the one which is flooded with Life - the Voice of Jesus Christ: "Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth My word, and believeth on Him that sent Me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life....The hour is coming, and now is, when the dead shall hear the Voice of the Son of God: and they that hear shall live." John 5:24-25.

Who else can say this in truth? Other's may have claimed the same; but Jesus is the only one whose voice has passed the test of time. All other voices have failed and have either become silent over the ages or they have an uncertain sound, and no life is found in them. Of course, those who are one with Him speak the same voice, and life springs forth when heard.

Generally speaking, voices are such common occurrences that we don't give them much thought. We are aware that they are always present to one degree or another; but seldom does it go beyond a vague thought. Let us take a moment, however, and notice the meaning of the word. I think it will prove enlightening:

The Greek word for voice is phone and carries the thought of a disclosure; a tone (articulate, bestial or artificial)... saying or language. Phone comes from phaino, which means to lighten, shine, i.e. show; and phaino is derived from phos. Phos, is the root word and means, to shine or make manifest especially by rays; luminousness. (Strong's Exhaustive Concordance).

For the lack of a better definition, I suppose we could say a voice is the outward expression of the inner essence of one's character, such as when the sun shines in its strength. The sun's light is simply its voice. Therefore, a voice, especially the Voice of the Son of God, can shine as the sun. Such a voice discloses that which abides in the secret chambers of its own heart. His voice is the source that opens many doors and windows of heaven. It reveals that which is enclosed and hidden. It enlightens its audience with understanding. Its ray brings into the open and manifests the nature of itself. It not only brings to light its own character; but it also reveals the hidden things of darkness as well. The voice of light uncovers and exposes their true nature, as the Psalmist wrote of all men who walk as trees: 9The voice of the LORD... (2)

discovers the forests... Psa. 29:9. There is little wonder that people of darkness do not care to be in the company of those whose voice is the voice of truth.

A voice is the manifestation of nature. It will tell something of the thing from which it comes. The voice of a dog is its barking and reveals something of the animal, as does the hiss of a serpent. The blast of a canon or report of a rifle will do the same, and so will the voice of a man. Each voice is an open door to those who hear it. They all tell us something of their nature and individual character, whether neutral, good or evil, holy or profane.

The light of a voice causes us to see ourselves, as wells as others but also reveals its origin. This gives us understanding. Its radiating waves manifests the nature of itself, as it strips bare those hidden things of darkness.

THE VOICE OF THE SUN IS RESOUNDING LIGHT, and so is THE VOICE OF THE SON. When His word is declared, it shines as brilliant light. Like the natural Sun, His Voice radiates with glory, it enlightens, it gives understanding, it quickens, it reveals. It brings to light the mysteries of God and the ages as it shines with light and life to all who hear His Voice beaming from the heavens.

We are reminded of the promising word recorded by the prophet Malachi, "But unto you that fear My name shall THE SUN OF RIGHTEOUSNESS arise with HEALING IN HIS WINGS..." Mal 4:2. Jesus, of course, is the one who brings healing to hurting souls, and to the nations. He alone loosens and frees those appointed to death. Psa. 102:20.

No other's voice shines with such healing light. Many may appear to have light; but if their voice is not the Voice of our Lord, it is but the light that comes from the darkness of man; and if the light in them is darkness, as Jesus said, then how great is that darkness! Mat. 6:23.

When a man's voice comes by the inspiration of his own intellect, it emits the cold rays of death. Rather than radiating the Healing Light of Christ, the true light which comes from above, it is man's voice of darkness and comes from below. Such a voice carries the stroke of death on its foreboding wings.

The Voice of the Son/Sun of God comes streaming from the heavens, bringing its healing light and life in His rays. It awakens dead and darkened worlds, and like natural light that is complete with seven colors, His voice is also complete. It is made up of seven radiant characteristics. Let us briefly notice these seven colors of light and see how they apply spiritually to people when Christ begins to voice each ray into their spirits. RED light, or voice, speaks of the sacrificial LOVE of the Son. The ultimate release of that love was voiced in the shedding of His blood at Calvary. The love which He love took to the cross, the love that constrained Him to pour out His life for an undeserving world, is the same love with which He shines in the very beginning of everyone's life as they are initially awakened to life and saved.

We see the value of this love reflected in the (3)Ruby: the King of Precious Stones.

"Which color would you spontaneously associate with love and vividness, passion and power? Obviously this will evoke the color red. Red symbolizes love, it emanates warmth and a strong sense of life. Red is also the color of Ruby, the King of gemstones. After all, in the fascinating realm of gemstones, rubies are the generally accepted emperors.

"For thousands of years Ruby has been considered one of the most valuable gemstones of our Earth. It has got all it takes for a precious stone: a wonderful color, excellent hardness and an overwhelming brilliance."

With such a priceless voice of love radiating from the pierced hands and side of our Lord, who could resist such a sound? Not many, doubtless to say.

His voice also consists of BLUE. It unfolds from the expanse of the endless HEAVENS of the Father and the Son. It speaks of the ascended One, the Eternal One, He who has no beginning nor ending of days. It speaks of the One who knows the end from the beginning. It speaks of He who holds the world in the vastness of the blue heavens of Himself, of He who knows the makeup and frame of every creature. It is as the song declares, "He's got the whole world in His hands."

The BLUE Light, or Voice, of Christ is not from the corruption and darkness beneath. It does not have the sound of the dull, brown hue of the first Adam's dust. It is brilliant and pure. It is from above. It is endless. It is His Father. That voice rings with the crystal clarity of the blue sapphire stone, which typifies the expanse of God's heavens, even His throne:

9Then went up Moses, and Aaron, Nadab, and Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel: 10And they saw the God of Israel: and there was under his feet as it were a paved work of a sapphire stone, and as it were the body of heaven in his clearness. 11And upon the nobles of the children of Israel he laid not his hand: also they saw God.... Ex. 24:9-11.

26And above the firmament that was over their heads was the likeness of a throne, as the appearance of a sapphire stone: and upon the likeness of the throne was the likeness as the appearance of a man above upon it. Ezek. 1:26.

Is there any doubt that the sapphire is not symbolic of the heaven's of God, the very throne of His power, from where all rule and authority come? No doubt whatsoever.

This stone is second in hardness only to the diamond, and is rightly called the Gem of the Heavens. It is said that "The sky is just a gigantic blue Sapphire stone into which the earth is embedded - this belief was cherished in ancient times. And, in fact, does there exist a better image to describe the beauty of an immaculate Sapphire of purest blue? This gemstone exists in all the shades of blue skies, from the deep blue of evening skies to the bright and deep blue of a clear and beautiful summer sky which charms all people. The splendid gemstone, however, also comes in many other colors, not only in the transparent greyish misty blue of far horizons, but also displaying the bright fireworks of sunset colors - yellow, pink, orange and purple. So Sapphires are really and truly heavenly stones, although they are being found in the hard soil of our so-called 'blue planet.'

"Blue is Sapphire's main color. This color, which is strongly associated with sapphire, is also linked to emotions such as sympathy and harmony, friendship and loyalty. These emotions belong to features which are permanent and reliable - emotions where overwhelming and fiery passion is not the main element, but rather composure, mutual understanding and unshakeable trust. Sapphire blue has thus become a color related to anything permanent and reliable, and this is one of the reasons why women in many countries settle on Sapphire for their engagement rings. Sapphire symbolizes loyalty and faithfulness, while at the same time expressing love and yearning.

"Sapphire's blue color is also evoked where clear competence and controlled brainwork are the issue. After all, the first computer ever to wrangle a victory from a chess grandmaster and world champion was named 'Deep Blue.'" (Some of the symbolisms expressed above are from the world's perspective; but they may apply to spiritual matters as well.)

His voice of YELLOW, by no means suggests the character of cowardice, as the term is often used in our modern English -- but of the manifestation of God's nature. That priceless nature, of course, comes with much fire, even as pure gold in the natural comes by the refiner's fire.

When the golden yellow flame of His voice blazes from the furnace of the Son, His kings are made ready for the reign. By the voice of the King of kings comes victory over every enemy in their land, and they sit with Him in His throne Rev. 3:21. Not only do they sit with Him, they are the very gold by which it is overlaid; for gold is God's nature manifested in, through and from man. These kings are His substance, His proven nature that covers His ivory throne of righteousness (Himself). We must always be clothed by His righteousness, or we will be found naked; but there is a time when we are His covering; for otherwise He could not be seen. We can see this typified in King Solomon's throne: 17Moreover the king made a great throne of ivory, and overlaid it with pure gold. 2 Chr. 9:17.

It seems to me that the gold was made ready during David's reign as a warrior, and then Solomon overlaid the throne of peace (ivory) with the refined gold. So the refining has been upon the battlefields of our souls; but now is the time of our gold to be laid and abide upon the ivory throne of our Lord. That is what is received when we hear the King resounding His golden rays of flaming fire. It instills the recognized value and authority of gold in our every thought, word, and deed. In this voice we are made more than conquerors through Him who loves us. Romans 8:37.

Ah, yes! The Golden voice of our glorious King, bringing forth the very nature and essence of God in the kings of His Kingdom.

When our Lord's red love of sacrifice merges with the golden yellow of His nature, it forms ORANGE, which speaks of HEATED PASSION. It is not a passion germane to the world, full of lust and sensuality. It is the passion generated by unadulterated love of the highest form. Christ's orange voice thunders HIS BLAZING PASSION, a passion that shines with burning Godfire. It is the unquenchable fervor from the throne of His sovereignty.

The most common word used by the King James Bible that relates to such passion is WRATH. Wrath, however, does not convey the most accurate thought for the Greek word, ORGE. Strong's Exhaustive Concordance tells us that ORGE means: desire, (as a reaching forth or excitement of the mind), i.e. (by analogy) violent passion.... If we follow the word to its derivatives we find that it is akin to 'airo,' which implies a deliverance from sin, and is comparable to 'ornis,' which means 'a bird' (as rising in the air).

ORANGE denotes passion, but like its root word ORGE, it is more than a passion held within a person, perhaps never being fulfilled. Orge is active. Orge reaches out and accomplishes its burning desire. The passion (orge/wrath) we see in the scriptures is usually in the context of heated determination. For example:

The wrath of the Whore is her heated determination to lay in religious fornication with every soul. Those who love the earth more than the heavens and have given themselves to the wrath of the whore must then one day face the wrath (determined passion) of the Lamb as His rays of wrath flood from the throne. Rev 6:16.

None shall be able to stand in their sin in the great day of His wrath (determined passion) (Rev 6:17), for His passionate, determined will shall prevail, not theirs. In that great day of light He will thrust His sickle into the earth's vineyard and gather the harvest, and cast it into the great winepress of the wrath (determined passion) of God. Rev. 14:19.

The fruit of the earth's vine, Adam in His ripened glory, recoils at this heavenly burning; but even man's chiseled will shall fail when God gathers it all to the throne and treads out the winepress in the fierceness of His wrath (determined passion). Rev. 19:15. His blazing voice of passion unto deliverance will not be hindered, slowed, halted, nor abated. It is forthcoming, relentless, and determined to accomplish its passion of life in every soul. His manifested Voice of Yellow Gold, joined together with His Word, the Logos, the Red, Life-giving Son of God, shall not return void; for it will proceed in Holy Passion from the mouth of His Father, even to the last flickering flame of the Holy Lake of Fire. And then,9...when thy judgments are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world will learn righteousness. Isa. 26:9.

The Fire Opal, known as the Orange Gem speaks very true to this voice:

"Fire opal breaks all the rules for opal. Opal is a gem valued for its play of color, the shifting light showing through from its depths. Body color is only a backdrop for the main attraction. But the color of fire opal is hard to ignore: hot yellows, oranges, and reds so bright they look as though they might glow in the dark. Fire opal is usually faceted, to add sparkle to the juicy color. Most fire opal is mined in Mexico, the result of ancient volcanoes! Fire opal, like all opal, has a high water content."

Hmm... This stone sounds very much like our Jesus: breaks all the rules of the norm; valued for variations of His Spirit as it radiates from the depths; His body color (His love) is His main attraction; even though love is the primary essence, passionate fire radiates as if in the dark; He is faceted to reflect many values; and although a product of fire, He has a high content of the water of the word. Interesting, to say the least.

There is a voice from the Sun that QUICKENS. It brings forth LIFE - LIVING, GREEN growth - to the trees of the forest and grass of the fields. Blue and yellow make green. This sounding light gives Life as it incorporates the eternal blue of the Father's heavenly throne with the golden essence of the Son's throne in the earth. The twain shall be one and bring forth life.

Once a person is born from above there must be the voice of life, the green rays of Life to shine in his soul, or he will weaken and die. As an infant needs milk to grow, so everyone born of the Spirit needs the green voice, the green light of Christ's anointed Word to grow. Peter said this about it: 2As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby. 1 Pet. 2:2.

There are too many today who have not grown. They were not and are not being nourished as is fitting for proper growth. After twenty or thirty years they are stunted. There has been no growth at all in some. They still talk like children, they act like children, their desires are that of children. The fact is, they are children; but worse, they are old children. They never received the unadulterated milk of the Word -- the Word which instills growth to where they could eat strong meat. And I am saddened by this.

Some may appear strong and mature to the casual observer; but religious facades and learned dogma does not constitute maturity. Although they are arrayed in "righteous" apparel, with their speech garnished with religious phrases and structured scriptures, they are lacking greatly in spiritual growth. Their stature is small, they are weak and dwarfed; for they were without the living Voice of Christ to enlighten and energize their souls. They never heard that voice, or very little of it, in their earlier years and they failed to grow, and it cycles on from generation to generation. Rather than hearing the Word of Anointing that every hungry newborn craves, for a large part, they were filled with dead doctrines that stunted their growth. Since there has been little life in the cupboards of their kitchens, this is all they have ever known. What else can they feed their congregations? Not much. Even so, shall we beat them with words of condemnation and ready corrections. Not so! For beatings do not add one wit of nourishment; but the emerald voice of Christ's life will fatten one's soul.

The green voice of Christ can be likened to the Emerald. It is the gem called the Green of Life and of Light:

"Emeralds are fascinating gemstones. They show the most beautiful, deepest and most brilliant green imaginable. Emerald green is the color of life and of eternally returning spring. For centuries, however, it has also been the color of beauty and of eternal love.

"Splendid Emerald green is a color communicating harmony, love of nature and a primeval joy of life. You cannot ever get too much of this unique color. Green is pleasant to the eye without tiring it. Green is characterized as fresh and full of life, never as monotonous. And as this color keeps on changing gradually between bright daylight and artificial lamplight, Emerald green in all its hues and shades will preserve its vivid energy."

Can you see the similarity with the living voice of our Lord Jesus? Splendid, communicating harmony, love, and the joy of life. You never get too much of hearing the voice of this uniquely begotten Son. His voice is pleasant to the ear without tiring it. It is fresh and full of life, never monotonous. And as this color, it keeps on changing, gradually between bright daylight and subdued hues of morning and evening. Emerald green in all its varied voices and shades will always preserve its vivid energy of life. My God, oh my God - what a voice to hear radiating from your Son!

INDIGO is another characteristic of the enlightening voices of Christ. Being a DEEP BLUE with a hint of sacrificial red, we see it as referring to His voice that descends to the unfathomable depths of the seas of humanity. Such a voice is able to descend into the deepest regions of men's souls while carrying with it the redeeming blood of Jesus. It penetrates to the bottom of the sea of humanity's death. Such a voice is able to save to the utmost. At Christ's command everything relinquishes its hold -- the sea, death, and hell give up their dead. Every realm which holds the dead surrenders and releases their captives. Christ's light of indigo plumbs the depths thought to be unreachable, and He says, "Arise ye fallen of men. Come forth from the deep. Stand and take your place in the ranks of the redeemed." This voice trumpets as the early morning reveille, declaring to 10Arise ye, and depart; for this is not your rest: because it is polluted, it shall destroy you, even with a sore destruction. Mic. 2:10.

Moreover, the sons of God, those who possess heaven and earth, those who have the double portion as did Elisha, (4)Ephraim if you please, will cry, 6... Arise ye, and let us go up to Zion unto the LORD our God. Jer. 31:6

And lastly, we hear Him in the VIOLET voice of light - supreme ROYALTY. This awe-inspiring color is made from Red and Blue -- the first and the last primary colors of the spectrum. He trumpets from the throne of His blue heavens' sacrificial love. It echoes through every valley and dark shadow of death the shed blood of the Redeemer, the all-encompassing One from above.

Jesus poured out the red blood of His physical frame so we could live. It is in the enlightenment of the violet voice with which He robes the royal Sons of God -- the exalted voice of the Perfected Man from the heavens, He who poured out that holy life for all. He emptied Himself of everything that pertained to the earth. He is the End result, the Conclusion, the Finale, the Last which we see, and it is in His flowing violet light of Royalty. In this, the red and blue, the First and the Last, the Alpha and the Omega, He reaches from start to finish, from the beginning to end. From His blue eternity He compasses all things and sprinkles them with His crimson blood. That voice sends its rays radiating throughout humanity, bringing an end to the death of man. Tremendous, unfathomable, incomprehensible is that Royal Voice of the Son of God, Jesus Christ the King of kings.

Now that we can see the significance, at least in part, of the colors of the light and sound spectrum, let us continue with hearing and seeing the Voice of the Sun.

When we walk in the individual lights, or hear the voice of each character, we walk in the realm of time; but when we move and have our being in the entire spectrum - eternity opens her arms and bids us to come. Jesus is the (5)full spectrum of God. He is the Word of God. He is (6)the Light. There is no lack in His voice. He is I AM. In Christ Jesus time ceases. There is no past or future in Eternity. Eternity envelopes all things, and when we rise and are enveloped by the effulgence of that endless expanse, we see all things - from the beginning to the end - in the ever-present now.

We have delved into seven colors of Christ's voice; but there are two more - INFRA RED and ULTRA VIOLET. These two colors are invisible to the natural eye; but they are just as real. I have heard people say that they do not believe in anything they cannot see. If you happen to be one of those "show me" guys, try sitting for a couple of hours under our New Mexico sun, unprotected, and you may become a believer of the invisible. First, the infra red will heat the skin, even to the point of a burning sensation. Second, the infra will not be felt at all, at first; but it goes deep into the skin and subtly cooks it from within. It is later that you will know you've been kissed by a little New Mexico hellfire. In their individual ways, both, infra red and ultra violet burn. And both burn in the spirit as well.

Initially, the infra red waves of the Son will either warm one's heart by the loving sound of the Redeemer's voice, or its radiant heat will torment the unrepentant heart. Afterwards, His voice-filled words of ultra violet will penetrate deep into the man's soul, searching onward to bring forth the deep things of God. Its probing sound will reach inwardly and consume every cell and fiber of carnality. Both of these colors sound very much like the roaring lake of fire, don't they. For these colors, and the lake as well, burn with irresistible, consuming (7)brimstone - Godfire! Can you hear that blazing voice? Moreover, can you speak it? If not, you will not only hear it; but you will speak it; for your destiny demands it, and creation groans and travails to hear its transforming sound!
