A POSITIVE NOW

“Now will I rise, saith the Lord; now will I be exalted; now will I lift up Myself.” Isaiah 33:10

We are God’s handiwork, and He is our Saviour. This is not some kind of a “do it yourself kit” arrangement. “By the grace of God I am what I am,” was Paul’s understanding (I Corinthians 15:10), and ought to be ours, also. Knowing that it is God working within, our next step is to trust Him, lean on, and rely upon Him to do His work. This trust is made manifest in our attitudes and reactions throughout the day. Our grumbling and complaining indicates that either we are not submissive to what God is doing, or else that we do not believe that He is in charge of the situation. To move in a negative attitude with negative reactions does not make for a happy state of affairs. There is a walk in God which is POSITIVE, and, therefore, a strength and encouragement to all who see it, for it reveals that there is one who is finding their peace in God.

“All the promises of God in Him are yea, and in Him amen, unto the glory of God by us,” (II Corinthians 1:20). Here is positiveness in full glory. God does not give a “yes” that might mean “no”. In Him they are always YES. In the midst of all the perplexities that are a part of this earthly travail, there can be that positive under-girding, because HE is the indwelling stability. “Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations…the trials of your faith,” (I Peter 1:6-7). There are many aspects of our own present “now” given here, a NOW for a season of testing and purging, a NOW when we see not the visible realities, and yet there is a NOW of believing which results in a rejoicing with joy unspeakable and full of glory. Heaviness in your NOW need not preclude the rejoicing aspect. For He remains positive regardless of the circumstance, and the ultimate victories are all secure in Him, who is our Yea, and Amen.

He is the blest reality for our entire how? and when?
In Him are all the promises, a yea, and amen!
