I AM REMINDED …

…  of two more verses which are foundational in my walk in Christ.  1). Great peace have they which love Thy LAW (Word) for nothing shall offend them. (Psalm 119 v.165). 2). If I justify myself my own tongue condemns me. (Job 9 v.20).

These principles always work!  I am also reminded of the time when our children were young and I saw these two principles put into action with amazing results.  We were renting an old farmhouse way out in the country.  Ray was away for the weekend leaving me with our four children, the oldest being 15 and the youngest just 1 year.  As siblings often do, the oldest son was aggravating his younger sister (8 years).  Normally she would stand up for herself and the  problem would just continue. This particular Sunday, she suddenly looked at her brother and said  "The Lord bless you" and quietly walked away.  The atmosphere changed -- PEACE reigned -- and we were able to spend  time in worship together and have a happy family day. It was such a blessing to see God's word in action and I have never forgotten these verses as we learned to share homes with many people from various walks of life, nationalities and different Christian backgrounds. This is a way to put Love into action as we  learn to accept each other and walk together in the unity of the Spirit.    G.B.Y.
