Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
We are writing to make you aware of Youth Camp 2012!! which we will be holding this coming summer at the YMCA Snow Mountain Ranch of the Rockies. The dates have been set for Sunday June 17th through Wednesday June 20th of this year. We feel that this is a very important event and we are very excited to serve our master Jesus Christ in this way.
Being ourselves parents with young children who are constantly being influenced by the ungodly ways of the world; we understand and deal constantly with the importance of teaching the next generation in the ways of the Lord. It is our hope that other members of the body of Christ will not only acknowledge the great need for the youth of today to develop a strong personal relationship with Jesus Christ, but will also take an active part in promoting it. We trust that God will use this youth camp to promote this relationship through sound teaching according to the written Word of God; exposure to the Holy Spirit through prayer, praise, and worship; as well as a time for kids to have fun and fellowship with other young followers of Christ.
The facility at Snow Mountain Ranch is a pristine location just west of Denver Colorado and offers beautiful mountain views; a meeting space which will be provided for worship; rooms available to house well over 100 guests; all meals provided all-you-can-eat style; as well as many fun activities including hiking, biking, swimming, and canoeing just to name a few (please visit www.ymcarockies.org for a full list of activities and exact location). However, the camp must be reserved several months in advance with a security deposit in accordance with the number of people attending; therefore, we have had to estimate on attendance and occurring costs. For this reason, it is imperative that all those who would like to attend to register as soon as possible.
All children ages 18 and under, as well as their parents, are welcome to attend; however parents with children under 8 years old will be required to accompany them to the camp. We will also need youth counselors and musicians to help minister to the youth. The deadline for registration is March 15th and we ask all those who will be attending to contact us before that time.
It is our hope and prayer that our mighty Lord and Savior will provide for the cost of all of the kids and parents who would like to attend this coming summer. We believe that there are many children who would not be able to come as a result of inadequate financial resources; therefore we appeal to the Living God who is able to supply our every need through the Body of Christ/ the Church.
If you do not have young children or will not be able to take part in the ministry to the youth, we encourage you to hold us up in prayer as we seek the guidance and provision of the Lord for this coming summer camp.
Enclosed is a registration letter and form. We ask that church leaders and pastors distribute these to the people of their local assemblies.
