Dear Brethren in Christ Jesus,

 

If you look at [Lev.23:6] Abid 15th is a Sabbath by command every year. [Lev.23.15.] Count seven Sabbaths from the morrow after the Sabbath, 16th Sivan [Lev.23:16] Even unto the morrow after the seventh Sabbath "4th" Sivan shall you number fifty days, the "5th" of Sivan, the Pentecost Sabbath. This made a 48.hour Sabbath, and it changed the day of the week every year that the Sabbath day fell on. From the 6th they worked six days and rested on the seventh, the 12th Sivan.

 

With the five extra days they added three at the end of the sixth month. This will give you the commanded Sabbath on the 1st of Tisri. See [Lev.23:24]. Continue the seven day cycle until the Sabbath day on the 26th of the twelfth month of ADAR. 27,28,29,30, then add the other 2 days and the next Sabbath day is the 1st day of the new year, in the first month of ABIB. then the 8th and the 15th, the specific commanded day for the Sabbath.

 

The only days left to add to the calendar is every 28 years they added seven days or, 28 x . 25 days = 7. this kept the calendar correct and kept the seven day cycle in tact. But if you name the days of the week, the 48 hour Sabbath on the 4th and 5th of SIVAN changes the day of the week so that over seven yearly cycles the Sabbath came on every day of the week.

 

Surely this was a shadow [Col.2:16] of every day being the real Sabbath rest in Christ, the Christian Sabbath that remained for the people of God? [Heb.4:9] This proves beyond a shadow [no pun meant] of doubt that the Saturday Sabbath is a false assumption.

 

Here is the Hebrew calendar showing every Sabbath day falling on the days commanded by God and we have fifteen reasons why the Sabbath Days came on fixed days of the month every year.

There is nothing in the Bible to determine the length of a Sabbath. The scriptures use the same word to describe;

 

[1] A rest one day long. [Ex.20:8-11] and [Deut.5:12-15] 

[2] A rest two days long. [Lev.23:15, 16:21]

[3] A rest one year long. [Lev.25:4-8]

[4] A rest two years long. [Lev.25:8-12]

[5] A rest seventy years long. [2.Chron.36:21]

[6] A rest in Christ's finished work that never ends.

 

This is the only Sabbath rest that remains, our complete rest in the finished work of Christ and our justification by the faith of Jesus Christ, apart from works of Law. [Rom.3:21-28]

 

Open your concordance to the word Sabbath. You will find that word "Sabbath" begins in EXODUS, not GENESIS as you have been constantly told by those legalists that refer to Genesis 2:1-3 as "the Sabbath" as a law for Man and a command to Adam or his posterity to keep a Sabbath. 

 

What does the scriptures say?

 

"...This is what Yahweh has spoken, A cessation, a holy Sabbath to Yahweh is tomorrow..."[Exodus.16:23. C.V.] This is the first mention of the Sabbath and it was to the Hebrew nation of Israel and not the other nations as we have been constantly told by those who have ignored Paul's evangel and the secret of the evangel revealed by Paul to all the nations for faith obedience. [Rom.16:25-27]

 

The apostle Paul said;

 

"...Beware that no one shall be despoiling [plunder] you through philosophy and empty seduction, in accord with the elements of the world, and not accord with Christ, for in Him the entire complement of the Deity is dwelling bodily. And you are complete in Him, Who is the Head of every sovereignty and authority...'He vivifies us together jointly with Him, dealing graciously with all our offenses, erasing the handwriting in decrees against us, which was hostile to us, and has taken it away out of the midst, nailing it to His cross, stripping the sovereignties and authorities, with boldness He makes show of them, triumphing over them in it.

 

Let no one, then, be judging you in food or in drink or in particulars of a festival, or a new moon, or of Sabbaths, which are a shadow of those things impending yet the body is the Christ's..." [Col.2:8-17]

 

Paul gave Timothy the following instruction for the nations:

 

".. Grace, mercy, peace, from God our Father, and Christ Jesus our Lord.

 

 According as I entreat you, remain with them in Ephesus, when going into Macedonia, that you should be charging some not to be teaching differently, nor to be heeding myths [about the law] and endless genealogies, which are affording exaction rather than God's administration [of grace] which is in faith.

 

Now the consummation of the charge is love [not law] out of a clean heart and a good conscience and unfeigned faith, from which some, swerving, were turned aside into vain prating, wanting to be teachers of the law, not apprehending either what they are saying, or that which they are insisting. Now we are aware that the law is ideal if EVER anyone is using it lawfully, [not one ever did. Rom.3:19-20]] being aware of this, that the law IS NOT LAID DOWN FOR THE JUST, yet for the lawless and insubordinate, the irreverent and sinners, the malign and profane, thrashers of fathers and thrashers of mothers, homicides, paramours, sodomites, kidnappers, liars, perjurers, and if any other thing is opposing sound teaching, in accord with the evangel of the glory of the happy God, WITH WHICH I WAS ENTRUSTED..."
