The Expectation of His Calling, "The Allotment"     The Lord through Paul's [Gr. graphon propheetikon] "prophetic scriptures, firstly, the Ephesian Epistle, reveals to us that the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ has blessed us with every spiritual blessing among the celestials. Paul prayed that all saints might receive a spirit of wisdom and revelation to enable them to perceive it, the revelation of the allotment!   Note: you can be a saint and not know of His allotment. It is "the expectation" of His, [the Father of glory] calling and revealed only through a spirit of wisdom and revelation.   "...Therefore, I also, on hearing of this faith of yours in the Lord Jesus, and that for all saints, do not cease giving thanks for you, making mention in my prayers that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may be giving you a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the realization of Him, the eyes of your heart having been enlightened, for you [the saints] to perceive what is the expectation of His calling, and what the riches of the glory of the enjoyment of "THE ALLOTMENT" among the saints, and what the transcendent greatness of His power for us "WHO ARE BELIEVING", in accord with the operation of the might of His strength, which is operative in the Christ..." [Eph.1:15-20.C.V.]   The revelation of just what the allotment is that the Father of glory gave His Son in which we are His complement, is almost too wonderful to grasp.  We need the "spirit of wisdom and revelation" to open the eyes of our hearts to perceive it.   Paul said the allotment was;   "...rousing Him from among the dead and seating Him at His right hand among the celestials, up over every sovereignty and authority and power and lordship, and every name that is named., not only in this eon, but also in that which is impending:: and subjects all under His feet, and gives Him, as Head over all, to the ecclesia which is His body, the complement of the One completing the all in all..." [Eph.1:20-23.C.V.]   Take note of [Eph.2:6-7.C.V.]   "...and rouses us together and seats US together among the celestials, in Christ Jesus, that in the oncoming eons, He should be displaying [US] the transcendent riches of His grace and kindness to us in Christ Jesus..."   The God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ is going to display His many member joint body with Christ as the Head of His executive power and glory at the right hand of God in heaven. Paul said;   The Weymouth Translation;   "...what we now suffer I count as nothing in comparison to the glory which is soon to be manifested in us. For all creation, gazing eagerly as if with outstretched neck, is waiting and longing to see the manifestation of the sons of God..." [Rom.8:19. Weymouth]     The reason why most are against this teaching from  Paul is made obvious when we realize that it takes a spirit of wisdom and revelation from the Father of glory to open the eyes of your heart to perceive this transcendent truth revealed to Paul for all the nations for faith obedience.   Paul also said;   "...the creation fell into subjection to failure and unreality [not of its own choice, but by the will of Him who so subjected it].  Yet there was always the hope that at the last the Creation itself would also be set free from the thralldom of decay so as to enjoy the liberty of the children of God..." [Rom.8:20-21.Weymouth]   And again Paul said,   "...Yet not only so, [the future deliverance of the creation itself] but "we ourselves" also, who have the firstfruit of the spirit, we ouselves also, are groaning in ourselves, "awaiting the sonship", the deliverance of our body. [Phil.3:20-21]  For to expectation were we saved. Now expectation, being observed, is not expectation, for what anyone is observing, why is he expecting it also? Now, if we are  expecting what we are not observing, we are awaiting it with endurance..." [Rom.8:23-25]   "Sovereignty over the earth will be given to the nation of Israel, according to the prophets. The sovereignty over the celestials is the portion of the ecclesia which is His body, and it is made known through a direct revelation from God to Paul. Between the two the entire universe will be brought under the administration of Christ.   So that, His body is the [Gr. pleroma], or complement, which fills up the lack which earths deliverance would still leave in the celestial realm, So that the function of the ecclesia which is His body, is to fulfill God's purpose for the entire universe, only part of which He is able to accomplish through His earthly people Israel."   Finally, Paul revealed this to the Philippians with these words;   "...For our realm IS inherent in THE HEAVENS, out of which WE are awaiting a Saviour ALSO, [ just like Israel] the Lord, Jesus Christ, Who WILL transfigure the body of our humiliation, to conform it to the body of His glory, [to enable us to sit with Him at the right hand of God] in accord with the operation WHICH ENABLES HIM EVEN TO SUBJECT "the" ALL TO HIMSELF..." [Phil.3:20-21]   May the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, bless you above measure and give you the spirit of wisdom and revelation to enable you to perceive what is the expectation of His calling, and what the the riches of the glory of the "enjoyment of His allotment" among "the saints" who are pre-expectant in the Christ, expecting to be translated to the heavens at His arrival in the air.   David and Carol Buckman.
