Paul's "Prophetic Scriptures" For all those that are not aware of the change of the administration from Law to the new administration of the grace of God and change of the dispensation of "the Acts of the apostles" to the new dispensation of "the secret," let us contrast the opening verses of the Epistle to the Romans written in 58.A,D. by "Paul, a slave of Christ Jesus, a called apostle" to the closing postscript which was added in 62.A.D.after Paul spoke for the third and final time Isaiah's prophecy of doom recorded in [Isa.6:9-10] and [Matt.13:13-14] and [Acts.28:26-27] The evangel of God promised before through the prophets: [58.A.D.] "...Paul a slave of Christ Jesus, a called apostle, severed for the evangel of God [which He promises before through His prophets in the holy scriptures], concerning His son [Who comes of the seed of David according to the flesh, Who is designated Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection of the dead], Jesus Christ our Lord, through Whom we obtained grace and apostleship for faith-obedience among all the nations, for His names sake, among whom are you also, the called of Jesus Christ: to all who are in Rome, beloved by God, called saints: Grace to you and peace from God, our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ...." [Rom.1:1-7] The revelation of the secret hushed unknown by the prophets: [62.A.D.] "...Now to Him Who is able to establish you in accord with my evangel, and the heralding of Christ Jesus in accord with the revelation of a secret hushed in times eonian, yet manifested now and through prophetic scriptures, according to the injunction of the eonian God being made known to all nations for faith-obedience to the only, and wise God, through Christ Jesus, be glory for the eons of the eons. Amen! [Rom.16:25-27] It is also important and necessary that we understand the differing evangels that both Peter and Paul were commissioned with before we can rightly divide the word of truth and be among those who can claim they are informed with the pattern of sound words that Paul charged Timothy with in his final peronal epistle from Rome [Spring] 68.A.D. Christ's ministry is prophetically known as, the evangel [gospel] of the Kingdom: The ministry and evangel [gospel] "good news of the Circumcism" is the EUANGGELION, WELL-MESSAGE which concerned Abraham's seed according to the flesh, who are Israelites whose is the sonship and the glory, and the covenants, and the legislation and the divine service and the promises; whose are the fathers, and out of whom is the Christ according to the flesh, Who is over all, God be blessed for the eons.Amen! "...Thenceforth begins Jesus to be heralding and saying, Repent! for near is the kingdom of the heavens..." [Mat.4:17] "...And Jesus led them about in the whole of Galilee, teaching in their synagogues and heralding the evangel [gospel] of the Kingdom, and curing every disease and every debility among the people...and perceiving the throngs, He ascended into the mountain. And, at His being seated, His disciples came to Him. And opening His mouth, He taught them, saying; "Happy in spirit are the poor...Happy are those who mourn now...Happy are the meek...Happy are those who are hungering and thirsting for righteousness...Happy are the merciful...Happy are the clean in heart...Happy are the peace makers...Happy are the persecuted...Happy are you whenever they should be reproaching and persecuting you and falsifying, saying every wicked thing against you on my account. Rejoice and exult, for your wages are vast in the heavens. For thus they persecute the prophets before you..." [Mat.4:23, 5:1-12] This was all spoken during the administration of Law: "...You should not infer that I came to demolish the Law or the prophets. I came not to demolish, but to fulfill. For verily, I am saying to you, Till heaven and earth should be passing by, one iota or one serif may by no means be passing by from the Law till all should be occurring..." It is interesting that when we read [Rom.1:2] Paul used the words; "...[Gr. dia ton propheeton autou en graphias hagiais] by His prophets in holy writings]..." Paul was referring to those writings well known as such in the Old Testament. But when we come to the words spoken by Paul in [Rom.16:26 ] there is no articles! "...Yet manifested now and through [Gr.graphon propheetikon] "prophetic scriptures" according to the injunction of the eonian God being made known to all the nations for faith obedience..." It is referring to the prison epistle about to be sent to the nations from Rome. "...And the same One gives these, indeed, as apostles, yet these as "prophets," yet these as evangelists, yet these as pastors and teachers, toward the adjusting of the saints for the work of dispensing, for the upbuilding of the body of Christ, unto the end that we should all attain the unity of the faith and of the realization of God, to a mature man, to the measure of the stature of the complement of the Christ, that we may by no means still be minors, surging hither and thither and being carried about by every wind of teaching, by human caprice, by craftiness with a view to the systematizing of the deception..." [Eph.4:9-14] Jesus never came to demolish "the writings" in the Law and the prophets, He came to fulfill ["till all should be occurring"] every detail of what they spoke concerning Him. That is why He drew near and spoke to Cleopas on the road to Emmaus: "...Now He said to them, "What words are these which you are bandying one with another while walking?" And they stood with a sad countenance. Now, answering, the one named Cleopas said to Him, "You are sojourning alone Jerusalem and did not know what things are occurring in these days?" And He said to them, "Which?" Now they said to Him, "Those concerning Jesus the Nazarene, a Man Who came to be a prophet, powerful in work and in word, in front of God and the entire people, so that both our chief priests and chiefs give Him up to the judgment of death, and they crucify Him. Yet we expected that He is the One about to be redeeming Israel. But surely, together with all these things also, it is leading in this third day since these things occurred. But some also of our women amaze us. Coming to be at the tomb early and not finding His body, they came saying that He is living. And some of those with us came away to the tomb and they found it thus, according as the women also said, yet Him they did not perceive..." Jesus now explains His statement: "You should not infer that I came to demolish the Law or the prophets. I came not to demolish, but to fulfill. For verily, I am saying unto you,Till heaven and earth and earth should be passing by, not one iota or one serif may by no means be passing by from [the writings] the Law TILL ALL SHOULD BE OCCURRING.." "..And He said to them, "O foolish and tardy of heart to be believing on ALL THAT THE PROPHETS SPEAK! Must not the Christ be suffering these things [TILL ALL SHOULD BE OCCURRING] and entering in to His glory?" And, beginning from Moses [the Law] and from all the prophets, He interprets to them, in all the scriptures, that which concerns Him..." [Luke.24:17-27] It is of the utmost importance that we keep in mind that all this concerns the evangel, EUANGGELION WELL MESSAGE or "good news" which concerned Abraham's seed according to the flesh, who are Israelites whose is the sonship and the glory, and the covenants, and the legislation and the divine service and the promises; whose are the fathers, and out of whom is the Christ according to the flesh, Who is over all, God be blessed for the eons.Amen "...Now He said to them, "These are My words, which I speak to you, still being with you, for all must be fulfilled that is written in the Law of Moses and the prophets and psalms concerning Me." Then He opens up their mind to understand the scriptures, [Moses and the prophets and psalms] and said to them that "Thus it is written, and thus must the Christ be suffering and rise from among the dead the third day, and there is to be heralded in His name REPENTANCE for the pardon of sins, to all the nations, beginning at Jerusalem..." It is extremely important that we understand that Jesus is revealing that another commission and offer of both the King and Kingdom is to be made known to all Israel through the re-offer by Peter on the day of Pentecost and it will be accompanied by Gifts of pneuma hagion, power from on high to confirm all the words of Jesus by those that heard Him during His ministry while on earth. "...And at the fulfillment of the day of Pentecost they were all alike in the same place. And suddenly there came out of heaven a blare, even as of a violent carrying blast, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. And seen by them were dividing tongues as if it were of fire, and one is seated on each one of them, and they began to speak in different languages, according as the spirit gave them to declaim...." [Acts.2:1-4] This wonderful occurrence has a condition belonging to it that Peter made clear to them: "...Let all the house of Israel know certainly, then, that God makes Him Lord as well as Christ this Jesus Whom you crucify!' Now hearing this, their heart was pricked with compunction. Besides, they said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, What should we be doing, men, brethren?" Peter is averring to them, "REPENT and be baptized each one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the pardon of your sins, and you shall be obtaining the gratuity of the holy spirit..." Peter speaking to the people of Israel at the sanctuary after the healing of the man lame from his mothers womb once again tells them to REPENT which is the one condition that the nation must nationally do to make it possible for the re-offer of the King and Kingdom to be established in their midst on the earth. "..And now brethren, I am aware that in ignorance you commit it, even as your chiefs also. Yet what God announces before though the mouth of all the prophets the suffering of His Christ He thus fulfills. REPENT then, and turn about for the erasure of your sins, so that the seasons of refreshing should be coming from the face of the Lord, and He should dispatch the One fixed upon before you, Christ Jesus, Whom heaven must indeed receive until the times of restoration of all which God speaks through the mouth of His holy prophets who are from the eon..." [Acts.3:17-21] If we carefully study the book of Acts to the very last page we will find that the nation as a whole nor the elders of the people would comply with the only condition [REPENT] that would have made possible the return of the King to establish the Kingdom as foretold by all the prophets from the eon. Paul speaking to the elders of Israel at the final meeting at Rome: "...When the brethren hearing about us, come to meet us as far as Appii Forum and Three Taverns, perceiving whom, Paul, thanked God, took courage. Now we entered Rome, Paul was permitted to remain by himself together with the soldier who guarded him. Now it occurred three days after, that he calls together those who are foremost of the Jews. Now, at their coming together, he said to them, "I, men, doing nothing contrary to the people or to the hereditary customs, was given up a prisoner out of Jerusalem into the hands of the Romans, who, examining me, intended to release me, because not one cause of death existed in me. Now at the contradicting of the Jews, I am compelled to appeal to Caesar not as though having anything of which to accuse my nation. For this cause, then, I call on you, to see and speak to you. For on account of the expectation of Israel this chain is lying about me. Now setting a day for him, more came to him in the lodging, to whom he expounded, certifying to the Kingdom of God, besides persuading them concerning Jesus, both form the Law of Moses and the prophets [just as Jesus did to Cleopas in Luke.24:17-27] from morning to dusk. And these were persuaded by what is said, yet "the" others [the elders] disbelieved. Now there being disagreements one with the another, they were dismissed. Paul making one declaration, that ideally the holy spirit speaks through Isaiah the prophet, to your fathers, saying, "...Go to this people and say, "In hearing, you will be hearing, and may by no means be understanding, And observing, you will be observing, and may by no means be perceiving," For stoutened is the heart of this people, And with their ears they heavily they hear, And with their squint, Lest at some time they may be perceiving with their eyes, And with their ears should be hearing, And with their heart may be understanding, And should be turning about, And I shall be healing them. Let it be known to you, then, that to the nations was dispatched this salvation of God and they will hear.." [Acts.28:17-28] After that final and formal rejection their city was destroyed, their temple was burnt by the armies of Titus in 70.A.D. both the administration of the Law and the Dispensation of the Acts of the apostles closed. We started this news letter with [Rom.1:1-7] "Paul a slave of Christ Jesus, a called apostle, severed for the evangel of God [which He promised before through His prophets in the holy scriptures, [Gr.dia ton propheeton autou en graphias] "by His prophets in holy writings", now let us proceed to [Rom.16:25-27] "...Now unto Him who is able to establish you in accord with my evangel and the heralding of Christ Jesus in accord with the revelation of a secret hushed in times eonian, yet manifested now [62.A.D.] and through [Gr. graphon propheetikon] "prophetic scriptures..." Paul's prison epistles written from Rome immediately after his proclamation of Isaiah's prophecy [Isaiah.6:9-10] is repeated for the third and final time which hastens the close of both the administration of Law and the dispensation of the Acts of the apostles which had began long before Paul arrived at Rome. We have read the scripture in [Acts.3:19-26] which was the basis of Peters re-offer, like all appeals to repent, yet they went unheeded, and the history of the Acts closes Peter's ministry with the rejection of the testimony by the nation in Jerusalem and the land in the stoning of Stephen, and Peters own imprisonment" The very first of the "prophetic scriptures", the epistle written to the Ephesians which contains "all the truth" promised by Jesus that would be revealed by "the spirit of truth" to all the nations. He said He was unable to reveal such to them, at that time. And since His disciples that accompanied Him during His ministry never heard Him speak of these things they during their ministry in the Dispensation of the Acts of the apostles could not speak of them either! In Paul's "prophetic scriptures" to the Ephesians he tells us: "...On this behalf I, Paul, the prisoner of Christ Jesus for the nations since surely you hear of the administration of the grace of God that is given to me for you, for by revelation the secret is made known to me [according as I write before in brief [ Eph.Ch.1&2], by which you who are reading are able to apprehend my understanding in the secret of the Christ, which in other generations is not made known to the sons of humanity as it was now revealed to His holy apostles and prophets]: In spirit the nations are to be joint enjoyers of an allotment, and a joint body, and joint partakers of the promise in Christ Jesus through the evangel of which I became the dispenser, in accord with the gratuity of the grace of God which is granted to me in accord with His powerful operation...."[Eph.3:1-7] It is important that you see just who the apostles and prophets were to whom this revelation was made known. In [Rom.16:25-27] Paul used the words [Gr.graphon propheetikon] prophetic scriptures. There are no articles: and it is not the Old Testament prophets nor is it the apostles commissioned by our Lord while on earth. This is a reference to the apostles and prophets who were given after the ascension of Christ into heaven [Eph.4:8-13] This expression is to be carefully distinguished from that used in connection with the evangel [Rom.1:2] which was [dia ton propheeton autou en graphias] by His prophets in holy writings: those well known in the Old Testament. The word "prophets" in [Rom.16:26] is not a noun at all. It is an adjective, and should be translated by prophetic writings, New Testament prophets so frequently spoken of in the New Testament [E.W.B.] When the administration of Law was coming to its end and the Dispensation of the Acts of the apostles was about to pass away, God commanded Paul to write the "prophetic scriptures" which were to contain all that the spirit of truth promised by Jesus which would lead us into "all the truth." [John.16:12-15] All these untraceable riches of Christ are to be found in Paul's "prophetic scriptures" they are revealed about the same time that Paul pronounced the proclamation from [Isaiah. 6:9-10] to the foremost of the Hebrew people at Rome in 62.A.D.. The rejection of these "prophetic scriptures" was the beginning of the apostasy and history shows us that the catastrophic destruction of both the Hebrew nation at Jerusalem together with the Temple of God came about within seven years of these "prophetic scriptures" being written. The Circumcism rejected the King and Kingdom and all of those in Asia among those first Christian ecclesia's rejected Paul's evangel and the secret of the evangel. Only a few of the Circumcism believers followed Paul and his teachings together with those few believers from among the nations. These were the joint body of Christ and since that time all those in "Christ Jesus" are members of the joint body of Christ and have a separate celestial destiny than those who followed the fortunes of the Kingdom of God on the earth. Paul writing to Timothy in his final letter before his martyrdom at Rome also tells Timothy not to be ashamed, then, of the testimony of our Lord, nor yet of me His prisoner. "... You may not be ashamed, then, of the testimony of our Lord, nor yet of me, His prisoner, but suffer evil with the evangel in accord with the power of God, Who saves us and calls us with a holy calling, not in accord with our acts, but in accord with His own purpose [Eph.1:9] and the grace which is given to us in Christ Jesus before times eonian, yet now [62.A.D.] is being manifested through the advent of our Saviour, Christ Jesus, Who, indeed, abolishes death, yet illuminates life and incorruption through the evangel of which I was appointed a herald and an apostle and a teacher of the nations. For which cause I am suffering these things also.." Paul reminded Timothy that all those [the ecclesia's] in the province of Asia were all turned from him. [and his evangel together with the secret of the evangel] [2.Tim.1:15] they did not turn from God. History shows us that they all turned back to the teaching of the dispensation of the Acts of the apostles which is the very thing that the writer of the Hebrews [Spring 68.A.D.] said they "the Hebrews" should not do, but rather be "brought on to maturity, not disrupting [Gr.kataballo, cast down] the rudiments of Christ, the foundation message," but leave it behind in the dispensation of the Acts of the apostles where it rightly belonged. [Heb.6:1-3] Paul fully explains this in the epistle to the [Philippians. 3:1-21] God bless you real good. David and Carol Buckman. Down-under in the land of OZ [Australia]
