Howcanthecitybecalledholyandstillbeoverwroughtwithsin,muchlesstobecalledSodomandEgypt?Arentallthingsthatareholywithoutsin?EvidentlynotifJerusalemiscalledSodomandEgypt!Actually,thisisnogreatmystery;forthereisalotofmixturefromtheoutercourtoftheTempleandoutwardlyinthecity,whichrepresentsboththechurchinsomefashionandthatwhichisapartofthewitnesses.Yousee,everyonehasthreerealmsthatmakeonetemple.Theyhaveaspirit,soul,andabody.Theoutercourt,ofcourse,representsthosewhohavebeenbornfromabove,whoknowGodinameasure,andwholoveHim;buttherestillremainsalotofworldliness,carnality,andsin.AlthoughthosebornofHimknowHim,andloveHim,theyarenotHispriests,theyarenotHiselect,theyarenotthetwowitnesses.Theyareoutsideofthesanctuary,andtheyveryoftenmissthemark.Althoughholy,thereisanabundanceofsininthatrealmcalledtheholycity.Andsoitiswiththosewho " ! arecalledtotestify,prophesy,andbringplaguesontheearth. #!" _Thereisthatoutercourt,theholycityinthem.RegardlessofthedepthofsintowhichthenaturalcityofJerusalemoftendescended,ithasalwaysbeencalledtheholycity.Ononehand,theentireworldofthechurchsystemcanbesaidtobeholy,whileontheother,itiscalledSodomandEgypt.Notwithstanding,itisstillcalledtheholycityeventhoughithasgonetotheextreme,outerlimitsofEgyptandSodomsspiritualdecadence.Anditisinthiscity,thespiritofthechurchsystem,thatmanscarnalreligionrisesinpowertoputtodeaththetruewitnessandtestimonyoftheLord.Andpleasebeputonnotice,thiscityismorethanthatreligioussystemweseeintheworld"itisinthemidstofthebodyofChrist.Itisjustasrealinwardlyasitisoutwardly,andthebeastofcarnalitywillriseintheelectandkillthespiritandwordoftheirtestimony.Moreover,wehaveseenthisscenariotimeandagain.NoneofthegreatspiritualmovesandawakeningswasIT,andneitheristhetestimonyofthetwowitnesses.Figurativelyspeaking,wecouldsaythattheworksofMartinLuther66(1517)B.` hp x (#XB#66j#,the  Reformation,GeorgeFoxandtheQuakers(661652)B.` hp x (#XB#66j#,AzusaStreet  Revival(1906)andLatterRain(1947)werethreeandahalfyearseach;fortheywereallcutoffinmidterm.Neitherofthemestablishedpeaceonearth.Theywerecutoffwhenthebeastthatwasheldinthebottomlesspitbythetestimonyoftruthofeachmovementroseup.Andwhatisthekeythatunlocksthegatesofthatpit?Itsverybasic"Godlinessisreplacedwithform.Likethetwowitnesses,theyhad66the testimony #66:m#66Ԁ(Grk.   martuia,#66m#66?+ 4 <DL!X?evidence#66m#66) ofJesus, andthetestimonyofJesusis the $ spiritofprophecy.Revelation19:10 .Anditisbythatspirit,the ( evidenceofJesus,thattheyprophecythreeandahalfyears.
